Birds

I love raptors or birds of prey. When I was a teenager I thought for sure that was what I'd be doing with my life - funny how things change. Living out west has provided me with the opportunity to see so many birds I had read about in real life. I love taking road trips and trying to identify what type of bird is in the sky.

Imagine my surprise as I was driving home from my sister's house today. This area I was in was part residential and part shopping. It was a crazy time of day - basically rush hour. I looked to my left on the other side of the road and there was a Golden Eagle just sitting off to the side of the road. I have no idea why he would be there but it was an awesome sight to behold.

You would totally love the road runners here. They are crazy looking and they attack things!

On our rides to visit in Chicago we would see hawks. We saw them every time. I loved seeing them. They are so royal looking.
