Not a baby anymore

Few things continually remind my that my first born, Bonnie, is no longer my baby. This is very tough for me because she was such a cute baby. Let's see first she throws tantrums all the time and if anyone knows cute babies - they don't do that. She no longer naps - life is not what it used to be. And sadly I cut her hair for the first time today. This was indeed very very tough. Her hair was mid back and she always had a lot of tangles. Plus she doesn't like me pulling it back anymore and so it is always in her face and looking terrible. So I pulled out some scissors and cut it shoulder length or at least close to that - she wouldn't keep still. So now I am feeling some remorse because she is truly not my baby anymore. She had her first hair cut today.

Play the Game

This is a pretty fun game, participate if you want! Add a comment on my blog. Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Overextended Thursday

Wow. Have you ever done just a little too much? Yesterday was a crazy day for me. On Sunday Jay and I decided to invite over a family for dessert on Thursday. Sounds like a good idea. But then Thursday arrived and I had a ton of visitors. Today I feel a little worn out but I'm off work so no big deal.

Even though we were really busy yesterday it was one of those great days. I finally felt like my house could be a meeting place for family to come and just hang out. My sister, Suzanne, came by with her two little boys first. That is always fun. Then later afternoon our nieces came by to play with Bonnie and then at the same time Grandpa stopped in. He stayed and ate lunch and I shared some cheesecake with him. Then our guests game over and we had some more fun. I made two yummy pies. This is all that is left. Looks like a good day for me!
Plus on top of that my baby got his first tooth yesterday and only 6 months old! Bonnie was almost a year when she got her first tooth. So Chas was grumpy all day and then in the evening I felt a tooth. What a tough guy. He is also sleeping it off right now. But just for good measure here is an adorable photo of him. He sits up a little but usually just falls over - so I was impressed he did this for so long.

Bonnie had such a great day that when I checked on her last night this is where she fell asleep. In the dog's bed! Makes me laugh.I would say yesterday was a fun and busy day. Now the kids and I are recovering today. Thank goodness. Oh and before I go I finished the top of my doll quilt. Just a peek and then I'm off for the weekend.

New

We moved recently (which loosely means around May). I got my first goal accomplished. I have all our records unpacked. we even bought record frames in January and I hung those! I feel so accomplished today.

I also discovered the cutest dress on etsy.

I just love this and I can't wait see more from this lady. I'm looking forward to when she creates a dress that will fit my daughter.
Baby fell asleep in my arms - I'm off to place him in bed!

Summer Fun

So, I have not been posting as regularly has I had hoped but it turns out I don't actually have as much time as I had expected to be all crafty. But I must admit we are just having the best summer ever and I think we can contribute it to the back yard. We love spending time in the backyard doing whatever we possible can. I love being out there so much that most of the time we have the baby in his exersaucer to spend as much time as possible with me outside.

Plus I also just realized whenever I try to create a post Bonnie seems to know and completely melts down. How can she know this? Probably because she also knows how to do a lot of things on the computer.
