Bicyle Bicycle

Ok just think of the song by Queen.

This week Bonnie did something amazing, she learned to ride her bike. Now I can't take the credit for this because she didn't learn from me. Bekah was here last week and while I was working in my office asked for the key to the barn. Apparently the kids wanted to ride their bikes. I was all for this because we had bought a bike for Bonnie but she just didn't get the hang of it. With Bekah's help she figured out the whole pedaling thing that had always alluded her.

The little bike you see in the background is Chas' bike. Jay's sister let us have it since both their kids are grown and use bigger bikes now. So Chas has been having fun trying out this bike. On Thursday, while they were learning, I realized his tired were flat. So that evening the kids & I picked up Jay and headed over to the bike shop. While they fixed the tire we looked at helmets for Chas. Chas doesn't wear an infant helmet, he doesn't wear a toddler helmet, his head fit instantly into a child's helmet. I always knew he had a big head.

That's cool that Bonnie can ride her bike. Arthur is still scared of riding his, we haven't even thought of starting Orson on one. This year is going to have to be the year.

You're so safe, helmets. My kids won't wear those things! It's nice when they can go ride their bikes in the street for hours on end, until you can't find them at dark!

It's so cool that Bonnie can ride her bike. Chas. will get the hang of it soon. Just watching Bonnie will help him learn. Not long now. Big sister will help, although she is Bonnie--maybe help. They are such cuties.

I love Chas in the helmet. Maybe he should wear it all of the time. It certainly makes him look grown up, even if he still has to look up.

Love Chas' big boy helmet - he looks ready to roll! Congrats to Bonnie on learning how to ride her bike.
